Message from a Sailboat in Still Water

sailboat

Purposeful new beginnings.

There is something peaceful about a sailboat sitting still on the water. It isn’t lost, it’s simply waiting for the wind. Our own journey, at times, can feel much the same.

We can spend so much time looking outside of ourselves for validation, approval, or signs that we are on the “right” path, but perhaps some seasons are simply asking us to trust our own journey and to practice patience with divine timing. A sailboat doesn’t need to chase the wind. It needs to be ready when the wind arrives. Maybe that is our invitation, also: to clear away some of the mental clutter, quiet the outside noise, and create space for what’s next. So that when the wind catches our sails, we are ready to move.

Journaling can be part of that preparation. It doesn’t always have to take us into the deep depths of our emotions. Sometimes a blank page is simply a place to set an intention for the day. To name something we are grateful for. To notice what is stirring within us.

A few quiet moments. A little reflection. A willingness to trust.

What might you be preparing for in this season of stillness?

Sip. Share. Reflect.
